number 6 studio gallery runs a regular programme of innovative and inspiring art courses providing opportunities for all, from the beginner to the experienced artist. Perhaps you have always wanted to draw, or would like to get involved in creative textile work? Or perhaps print making or jewellery creation is more your thing?

Our programme includes taster courses through to accredited courses, all based on our philosophy of teaching and building core skills in order to create confidence and creativity. Our courses are designed for a maximum of 10 participants and our tutors are experienced experts within their fields.

number 6 studio gallery is equipped as a working studio and can accommodate up to 9-10 people for courses and 16-25 for meetings of demonstrations. It is well heated and has good natural light with excellent additional top lighting The moveable tables encourage different teaching environments and the studio is equipped for a variety of art forms from drawing to jewellery making.

number 6 studio gallery is also available for hire by groups wanting to run their own courses or workshops or by individual artists wishing to use the facilities.

Specialist equipment includes:

• Two printing presses, suitable for etching, lino cut and embossing
• A small screen printing table
• A scanner printer, and computers with In Design, Paint Shop Pro, Page Plus and Microsoft Office
• Paper making equipment
• Smaller equipment including trimmer, drawing boards, easels and drying rack
• Paper, printing inks and computer consumables are available at cost.
