Bookmaking

This course has the title “Bookmaking” as opposed to “bookbinding” which is a different subject. On this course you will learn how to construct books including folded books, pamphlet books and stitched books.

Contemporary Textiles - Machine Embroidery

It is designed for any student who wishes to begin using their machine in a more artistic way and experiment with different techniques and processes. However, those students who have experience in machine embroidery and wish to further their knowledge, or those who have studied other art disciplines will enjoy the challenge of working through this course to the final presentation of their finished work.

Art Appreciation

This is a 10 hour course made up of 4 monthly sessions of 2.5 hours. This course is not an academic History of Art course, but is designed to concentrate on the basic concepts and skills associated with the appreciation and understanding of a range of imagery and materials.
