This course is for students who have completed Year 1 of Joan’s course or have experience from a similar course. Year 2 will concentrate on more complicated book forms, together with box and portfolio construction and surface decoration.
The course runs generally on the first Sunday of each month over 10 months, with each session from 10 am to 4 pm. You will receive tuition and demonstration from Joan in the morning session and then spend the afternoon on your own work. During the course there will be group discussion as well as individual presentation of work. You will be expected to produce a visual diary and a finished piece for exhibition at the end of the year.
The cost of the course is £350 for 60 hours tuition over the 10 sessions. The dates of the sessions are as follows:-
6th October 2019, 3rd November, 1st December, 12th January 2020, 2nd February, 15th March, 5th April, 3rd May, 14th June and 5th July.
