This course is designed for students who have already completed Years 1 to 4 of Joan Newall’s courses, or who have significant experience from other similar courses. The course is designed to allow students to develop their own practice using the skills learned in previous courses, and to develop their own style of working. As before there will be opportunities for group discussions and personal tutorials.
The course will be run as a workshop from 10 am – 4 pm, generally on the first Saturday of each month. You will receive tuition and demonstration from Joan in the morning session and then spend the afternoon on your own work. During the course there will be group discussion as well as individual presentation of work. You will be expected to produce a visual diary and a finished piece for exhibition at the end of the year.
The cost of the course is £350 for 60 hours tuition over the 10 sessions. The dates of the sessions are as follows:-
5th October 2019, 2nd November, 30th November, 11th January 2020, 1st February 14th March, 4th April, 2nd May, 13th June and 4th July.
