Introduction to etching on zinc
April 26 - 10:00 am - 4:00 pm£45
A one day course with Moira McTague as part of the Season of Printmaking. Suitable for complete beginners, this informative, process led course will introduce you to some of the techniques of etching on zinc. You will be guided step by step through the preparation of the zinc plate, transferring your image and ‘etching’ the plate in copper sulphate.
You will then print the plate using a variety of methods and create a small edition of original prints exploring the possibilities of making a variable edition from one plate. Please bring an apron and if you like, some idea of the image you might like to base your etching on.
Friday 26th April from 10am to 4pm – cost £45. Places are limited – to reserve your place email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
