As the Upper Nidderdale Landscape Partnership 2nd year project, nva commissioned local sculptor Joseph Hayton, to lead a project based on the geology of the Dale. The project involved local walks, talks and carving workshops led by Joseph who also developed his own personal work based on the links between Nidderdale and Fountains Abbey. The concluding exhibition in summer 2016 was entitled Dissolution and featured major pieces of Joseph’s work created during the year.
